Flag Turbines

Our Team

The story

Creating clean, affordable energy for everyone. Flag Turbines journey began with Eric, Maarten and Rob, who saw the potential of vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT’s) to create a new wave of renewable energy for society. Their aim was simple: to create turbines that would bring power back to the people. To Flag Turbines, the future of energy is clear… and clean. By creating affordably priced turbines, we can give individuals access to cheaper energy. Having scalable turbines that can be tailored to fit individuals’ demands will allow energy creation where it is most needed. Making turbines easy to install and maintain gives individuals and communities the ability to take control of their own energy production, even in the most remote and off-grid locations.
Renewable energy should also mean that the turbines producing it are truly good for the environment. Built using less materials and no advanced or composite materials, so that the turbine is recyclable and carbon-negative. The turbines should also work with nature, creating as little visual or audio disruption as possible, minimizing the disturbance to the environment. To turn this vision into reality the team formed BLOwN. Together with their team of innovative engineers and scientists, they have undergone rigorous designing, testing and redesigning, striving to stay true to these principles and deliver a truly game-changing turbine that will revolutionise the energy system as we know it.
